Introduction to Mezzotint and Chine Colle

Sean will introduce students to the mezzotint process, including rocking a plate, drawing on a mezzotint plate, and printing. Alongside of this, students will also be given an overview of ways to combine mezzotint with other intaglio processes such as line etching and aquatint, as well as ways to integrate chine colle into intaglio printing. Prerequisite: intermediate level printmaking experience, with some experience working in intaglio.
