The Art Colony recognizes that while making actual work is certainly central to it, the creative process is not so much about reaching an end point as it is about about viewing, engaging with, and interpreting the world in a uniquely artistic way. For arts learners from 6 – 96, Art Colony studios are immersive, experimental spaces where instruction risk-taking, mentorship, and shared peer interaction provide for growth. Space is also made for students who are looking for a place to begin.

Art Colony primary mediums include, ceramics, literary arts, printmaking and book arts, two-dimensional media (drawing, mixed media, painting), and sculpture.
Scholarships
The Art Colony is dedicated to making its learning opportunities accessible to all students regardless of financial need. Specific scholarships are funded by designated gifts from Art Colony members and supporters and include youth need and non-need based scholarships, and adult need-based scholarships.
