Approaches to Observational Drawing 21D5-1

Through in-studio and outdoor exploration, practice, demonstrations, and artist examples, Emily will help students explore a range of methods for drawing from observation. Beginning with contour line exercises, progressing through gesture drawing and finishing the week with exploring color relationships, students can expect to complete a portfolio of drawings. Time will be spent on both quick studies as well as longer, sustained pieces, and there will also be an opportunity to examine collections.
