Wayne Roosa
Wayne Roosa is a full-time artist, art historian and writer working in St. Paul, MN. He has shown in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and New York City. He was co-founder and chair of NYCAMS (New York Center for Art and Media Studies) in NYC. As an art writer, he has published catalog essays for exhibitions on Stuart Davis in Italy, the Netherlands, China, and the USA, for MoBIA in NYC, and for numerous artists and university galleries. He has written for Image Journal, the Salander–O’Reilly Gallery in NY, the Catherine Nash Gallery at the University of MN, and the Nease Gallery in Duluth. He was an Andrew Mellon Research Fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC, and has done research at Harvard through a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship. He recently retired from teaching art history in St. Paul, MN and now writes and paints fulltime in his studio in New Brighton, MN. wayneroosa.com
