North Shore Readers and Writers Festival
November 4 – 11, 2021
The North Shore Readers and Writers Festival is a biennial event that locates, celebrates, and fosters the literary arts and engagement with the written word.
In 2021 the Festival will become a Fantastic NonFest! Meaning, while we are not planning programming for large, in-person gatherings just yet, we have crafted two educational tracks for writers of all levels to learn from seasoned, published Minnesota authors. We anticipate hosting classes in person.
CLASSES
Classes are 2 – 4 days in length and follow either a poetry or a hybrid track. Participants can opt to follow one of the two specific tracks or select from either track to build out their NonFest experience.
Poetry Track
Joyce Sutphen | Memory and Poetry
Sun Yung Shin | Poetry and History (Virtual Class)
Hybrid Track
Diane Wilson | Telling True Stories: Memoir to Novel
Kathryn Savage | Elements of Creative Nonfiction and Memoir
