Weaving on Blackware

Learn to create blackware using the triple drum firing method, as well as basic pine needle basketry techniques and how to combine the two. The first part of class will be spent on clay construction techniques. Coreena will discuss how to craft a vessel that will function as a weaving base, and students will have ample work time. Students will then move into learning to weave pine needle baskets from their ceramic vessel to create a one-of-a-kind piece.
