Watercolor Monoprints 21Pr7-1

Watercolor monotypes are a fun way for painters and printmakers to explore new textures and techniques. Working with water-based media like gouache and aqua crayons, students will create compositions that will transfer from thin plastic sheets onto paper. The process encourages luscious paint strokes as well as hard edges and collage-like rubbings. Students will create at least three finished prints and there will be ample time for independent work as well as sharing ideas. Printmaking experience is helpful but not necessary.
