VIRTUAL Demonstration: Kitchen Lithography

Kitchen-litho is a great DIY printmaking technique that uses safe materials readily available to  create prints without chemicals or a printing press. The process is directly related to traditional stone lithography, mirroring the basic principles of the technique. Where most litho uses heavy stones and massive printing presses, kitchen-litho uses aluminum foil and Coca-Cola to “etch”  a drawing into the foil that can be inked and printed onto paper, wood, or textiles. It’s a great at home printing process to have fun and experiment with.
