Transfer Images, Mixed-media, and Collage

Students will start by transferring printed images into wet acrylic materials and then move on to incorporate mixed-media painting techniques, in the end, creating pieces loaded with color, texture, and patterns. Bonnie will teach the class to make acrylic skins and apply them as collage elements as well as add texture with acrylic gels and molding pastes, and add color and patterns with stencils and collage papers. Whether serious or humorous, all imagery will be unique to each student and an exploration of personal statements and new possibilities for self-expression.
