Printing on Clay

This hands-on workshop will focus on ceramic surfaces and techniques for creating imagery and decorating that can be used on pottery or sculpture. Approaches will include using rudimentary printmaking techniques, sgraffito, slip trailing, and stencils along with creating and using simple sprig molds, and stamps to create a layer cake of information. Students will do one bisque fire and one glaze fire, as well as bring home greenware.
