Pen and Marker Nature Illustration 21D8-2

The world of markers has come a long way from Crayola! No matter your skill or experience level, Sarah will provide you with tools to fit your comfort level. Students will start by learning technical drawing methods, including the use of geometric shapes to build a figure, and the idea of using anchors to ensure proportionate drawing. Then students will move on to work with techniques specific to drawing with pens, including cross-hatching and approaches to shading that can help generate texture. Sarah will also demonstrate how to blend markers in a way that allows for dynamic layering and a painterly quality. This class includes some outdoor excursions.
