From Block to Book: Woodcut Artist Books 21Pr10-1

In this hands-on workshop, students will print color reduction woodcut images that will become the pages of a hand-bound accordion-folded book. A layout on the block enables simultaneous printing of multiple pages using oil-based ink for luminous color while practicing eco-friendly processes. The first three days will be spent carving and printing and the fourth day will be used to assemble the book with covered boards using decorative paper. Concepts for invention and good fun will be directed in a collaborative atmosphere.
