Encaustic with Photo Collage 21MM9-1
Join Jodi for three exciting days combining your photographs as collage with encaustic painting. This process involves inkjet or laser printing photographs on lightweight tissue paper and embedding the image with encaustic medium and paints. A brief history and description of encaustic painting will be discussed, as well as basic supplies and tools, painting techniques, safety, and preparation of supports, including application of grounds and fusing. Jodi will also teach techniques for image transfer, gluing photographs to substrates, and editing photographs to print with software and apps.
