Catch the Sky (Ages 9 – 11)

This class will be a four-week exploration of watercolor, bookmaking, and basketry for youth ages 9 – 11. We will start by exploring a crayon resist watercolor technique to paint our interpretations of the morning and evening skies. These will then be bound into a Japanese stitched book. Finally, we will finish our project by making a basket to hold the sky we’ve “caught” in the style of an indigenous woodland basket.

All supplies for this class will be provided.
