Bringing Movement and Depth to Your Paintings

Explore the multi-layered combination of oil, alkyd, and acrylic painting. Students will learn to quickly create an original underpainting composition in acrylic paint, using the complementary or opposite color that will be the final layer of the painting. Sandi will review aspects of color theory, and the importance of knowing the language of art in creating an original painting that is exciting and has tremendous depth and movement. Glazing techniques will also be shared.  Some experience in painting is suggested, but not required.
