Watercolor from the Beginning

This course is designed for the beginning watercolorist who wants to learn the fundamentals of the medium. Topics covered will include choosing tools and supplies, brush technique, applying washes, working wet into wet, color mixing and basic color theory, properties of paint, glazing, and creating texture.

Students will complete a small painting, but the emphasis will be on discovering the properties of the medium and experimentation. Come prepared to have some fun!

Art Colony classes must meet a minimum number of students 45 days ahead of the class start date (August 26, 2022). Once a class has reached minimum enrollment, registration will remain open until 1-2 weeks before the class start date.
