Water and Woods: Abstraction and Nature

Join Annie for an indoor and outdoor nature-based painting workshop. Students will be guided through Annie’s painting techniques and practices, including a water collection process at the Lake Superior shoreline and a forest bathing walk to gather visual inspiration in nature. In the classroom, students will move between acrylic on canvas and gouache on paper, exploring abstract visual expressions of their nature experiences. The forest bathing walk, as well as other reflection activities, are an invitation into embodiment before diving into creativity.
