Painting in Pastel 21Pa4-1

Bring your pastel landscapes to life through a better understanding of key artistic principles. Lisa will discuss design and composition, painting fundamentals, the importance of accurate drawing and those valuable tools: color, value, intensity, temperature. Students will paint from their own photo reference and field studies. The class will also explore pastel brands, and papers and techniques, while learning from Lisa through demonstrations, personal assistance, and group critique.

VIRTUAL PAINTING IN PASTEL

The Virtual Painting in Pastel class will run alongside the in-person class, providing students with two hours of teaching and interactive demonstration sessions from 9 – 11 AM each morning. Remote students will be able to participate in class discussions and ask questions during this time. All virtual students will also meet with Lisa for a check-in each afternoon to review work and discuss techniques.

REGISTRATION NOTES

This class must meet minimum enrollment by March 24, 2021 at 4 PM. Please register before this date to ensure your spot.

Due to current covid-19 safety protocol, class enrollment will be limited to allow for physical distancing, etc. Students are encouraged to register early. Should you find that the class you want to attend is full, we encourage you to get on our waitlist and, as safety standards continue to evolve, we anticipate that additional class spaces will be made available.
