Acrylic Painting 21Pa6-1

Students will work both indoors and outside to explore their artistic interpretations through the versatile world of acrylic paints. Outdoors, students will gather photos, inspiration, and, under Adam’s guidance, practice making work on site. A local ecologist will be on hand one morning to offer insight into the natural elements of the North Shore and allow students to engage with subject matter with greater understanding. Indoors, students will use source material to work on color theory basics and acrylic painting techniques. Adam will provide demonstrations, including gessoing a board, glazing with acrylic, and impasto techniques with a palette knife.
