Karen Owsley Nease

Karen Owsley Nease is a lifelong painter and enthusiastic painting instructor.  Her artwork combines influences from her experience of the natural world and her education and works in design. Captivated by Lake Superior on her first visit, she moved to Duluth to live near its imposing beauty. Karen earned a BFA in Painting/Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute and degrees in Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design from Kansas University.  She co-owns a contemporary art gallery in Duluth, MN.
