John Books
John Books is a Grand Marais artist who has been sculpting for close to 40 years, carving wood and casting bronze. His earlier career focus was in theater, which then led him to an interest in the visual arts, specifically in the way that sculpture can allude to or tell its own story, and how the play of meaning and form in sculpture exhibits both a delight and a challenge.
