Virtual Class: Ceramics Materials Workshop

Are you a past Art Colony ceramics student or member who lives in the Arrowhead region? We are partnering with Ceramics Material Workshop, and Rose and Matthew Katz, to offer you a chance to keep building your ceramics experience at a time when class are more difficult to attend.

Rose and Matt Katz specialize in teaching students about how glazes and clay bodies work. They have taught at the Rhode Island School of Design and Harvard University. They make it their job to translate the technical side of clay and glazes for makers of all experience levels, and they do it online.

Glazes or our Lives: Understanding Glazes for the Beginner, typically runs for $100. We are able to offer the 12 hours of video instruction material to you for $75 and the videos do not have an expiration date. Once we gather a group of 5 or more, we will then connect students with the resources and round out the experience with an online zoom meeting. The deadline to register is October 13, 2020.

Again, students signing up need to be a current Art Colony member or have taken ceramics classes with us, and also currently reside in the Arrowhead region.
