Tribute Pieces 21S7-1
Paying homage to someone or something is common practice in art. In this class, you will create a piece of jewelry that celebrates something that you hold dear. That could be a person, a pet, or something abstract like nature or community. Emphasis will be given to design, composition and fabrication issues that stem from your design and material choices. Non-traditional jewelry making components present unique challenges and through this workshop, students will stretch their perceptions of traditional jewelry and what contemporary metalsmithing can be.
