The Water Cycle: The Source

In this reflective workshop, students will move between the classroom and the shoreline at the Grand Marais Harbor, sourcing Lake Superior water and sediment for abstract painting. At the shoreline, students will learn to honor the water and gather materials with respect. Back in the classroom, students will practice a blend of brush-painting and pouring on canvases to express the mood of the lake. Class content will also include meditation, group discussion, and personal writing.
