The Poetry of Plein Air

We all want to find that thing that will make our paintings “sing.” In this class students will learn how composition, design, and color harmony can bring more emotion to their painting. Kathie will discuss the elements of a painting, including composition and design, visual movement, value, color and brushwork, and how those elements can create a more dynamic painting. The class will include discussion, demonstration, and plenty of one-to-one instruction. Kathie is the 2020 Outdoor Painters of Minnesota, Plein Air Grand Marais Juror.
