Print to Book
Explore adaptable printmaking and bookbinding techniques in this course suitable for all levels of experience. Students will learn several printmaking techniques that require little-to-no special equipment, including monotype printing and relief printing while also learning to create beautiful handmade books. The course will begin with pochoir printing and trace monotypes as we discuss the tips and tricks of creating layouts for one-page books. Students will then build on that knowledge through a more advanced lay-flat binding as we learn to carve and print reduction linoleum cuts. Discussion will focus on methods for combining processes to create stunning artist books.
