Photopolymer Etching Basics
Learn the fundamentals of photopolymer printmaking, a non-toxic alternative to traditional intaglio processes. Students can use opaque black photographs, drawings, and paintings on transparent film to transfer onto plates that are then developed in water and printed in the same method as a traditional etching. Participants will prepare images to expose, develop, and print using soy-based Akua Intaglio inks.
