Painting the Light

Expand your painting skills with Kat and learn to see how light impresses itself onto everything. In this studio intensive, students will work with acrylic paint on a black or colored ground, starting with basic subject material and moving into working from photos. The Great Lake affects the light all year round, and in July that light is even more accentuated. By painting in acrylic on a black ground, students will become more aware of values and of the presence of light. Prerequisite: Foundational acrylic knowledge and experience required.
