Next Steps Wheel: Finishing Your Work

This class is for students who are looking to go the next steps in wheel throwing while continuing to build on their foundational knowledge. Natalie will include instruction on surface design, firing schedules, and hand-building per students’ requests. Class will focus on refining trimming and attachment techniques and students will have the opportunity to experiment with glaze and surface techniques by firing test tiles part way through the session so as to make informed decisions on their final pieces.

Prerequisite: foundational knowledge of wheel throwing, including centering, trimming and pulling cylinder forms on the wheel without assistance.
