Mixed Media Drawing 21D8-4

Explore an experimental approach to traditional drawing practices. Students will combine observational drawing in dry media–focusing on portraits, still lifes, and landscapes–with construction paper collage to learn both effective methods of achieving realism and the fun possible with pushing into abstraction. Each day will begin with a brief lecture on relevant contemporary artists and practices, followed by guided studio time, and class will end with a soft group critique.

REGISTRATION NOTES

This class must meet minimum enrollment by July 26, 2021 at 4 PM. Please register before this date to ensure your spot.

Due to current covid-19 safety protocol, class enrollment will be limited to allow for physical distancing, etc. Students are encouraged to register early. Should you find that the class you want to attend is full, we encourage you to get on our waitlist and, as safety standards continue to evolve, we anticipate that additional class spaces will be made available.

Should covid-19 affect our ability to meet in person this class will pivot to virtual class for the same duration of time with minor modifications.
