Form + Surface in Earthenware

Explore your creative potential and gain confidence in your making as you learn a variety of hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques that help you develop new ways to approach pottery forms. As a point of departure, students will hand-carve slump molds and use paper stencils for creating new forms. Surface decoration using slip, underglaze and glaze in low-fire temps will be used and recipes provided. Expect daily demonstrations, good humor, and lots of personal attention. Work will be bisque-fired.
