Forging a Black Bear

Spend a beautiful weekend on the North Shore and create your own black bear sculpture. Students will gain basic knowledge of metalworking techniques as well as learn about wildlife sculpture and how to safely use a blacksmith forge, gas welders and cutting torches, electric wire feed welders, grinding wheels, and metal cut off saws. Pieces will be shaped and hammered using anvils and stand vises and finished with patinas and sealers.
