Cast Metal Sand Molds (Ages 14 – adult)

This two-part class introduces students to the foundry process of bronze and aluminum metal casting. Students will spend the first class carving a relief composition into bonded sand at the Art Colony and then can take the piece home to finish the carving. The second session will be held at Mueller Studio in Lutsen, where students will pour metal into their pattern to create a one-of-a-kind relief sculpture.
