Beginning Wheel Throwing
Students will gain the basic foundations of wheel thrown pottery, including wedging clay, centering, opening, pulling, shaping, trimming, glazing and basic studio etiquette. We will start with learning how to throw a basic cylinder and then learn to shape these forms into various forms such as mugs and vases. We will also cover how to throw a basic bowl. In the final class session students will glaze their own work. This class includes one bisque fire and one glaze fire.
Students will be able to sign up for additional time to work in the studio independently through SignUp Genius.
