In order to ensure the health and safety of our students, artists-in-residence, instructors, visitors, and staff, we are observing the following COVID-19 protocols, effective September 1, 2022:

• We request that all students take an at-home COVID-19 test 48 hours prior to arriving at class and ensure they have a negative result. Results do not need to be sent to the Art Colony. This action is on the honor system and we ask students to be diligent in observing this step on behalf of our community and others in their class.
• When our community is at HIGH according to our office of public health, masks are required to be worn in all Art Colony buildings and at any indoor off-site programs. We recommend wearing an N95, KN95, or KF94 mask for the best protection. Please refer to the instructions posted in each studio about how to wear a mask properly.
  • At other times masks are optional.
• Students shall limit their activities to the designated studio and related facilities.
• The Art Colony will utilize air filtration units in studios and will open doors and windows for natural ventilation when possible.
• Please maintain appropriate physical distancing between workstations.
• Students agree to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Symptoms of COVID-19 can be found at this link.
• If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in recent contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you will not be allowed in  Art Colony studio spaces or facilities.

• Anyone who develops symptoms of COVID-19 within 5 days of participating in Art Colony programming, is expected to contact us at info@grandmaraisartcolony.org.
• The Art Colony reserves the right to terminate access to studio space for any or all participants if it determines that our safety protocols have not been followed, or that the safety and health of staff, students, the instructor, and others may be at risk. 

COVID-19 remains a moving target and we continue to consult with our local public health professionals as to how to manage our safety plan.
