Beginning Acrylic

Start from the foundation as Adam demonstrates each step of the process of making an acrylic painting, from gessoing a board/canvas, to creating a drawing and painting, to varnishing and wiring the finished piece. Adam will demonstrate color mixing using a variety of color theory techniques as well as glazing and impasto techniques with a palette knife, brush, and scraping tools. Students will create a series of paintings using their own reference material and learn to keep proportions accurate.
