Listening to Your Draft

Discover a more supportive structure for all you’re trying to tell while gaining tools to jumpstart your memoir or better grapple with an unwieldy draft. Kate will offer constructive ways to deal with challenges encountered in writing family secrets and in (not) remembering nitty-gritty details of life. Students will explore what is present on the page and what can be found through meditative walks as we practice closer listening to what our drafts reveal about approaching revision. Through writing exercises, readings, engaging discussion, and the calm of retreat, you will find renewed inspiration and a clearer vision for your writing.
