Students will work collaboratively using a low-tech process of packing tape body molds, wrapping each other with the tape to create the mold, and then cutting it off to finish it. Get mummified and explore the create a public art project that will be temporarily placed in downtown Grand Marais.
October 15 – Drawing on Artists’ Point
Drawing doesn’t need to be intimidating. Not only is it the foundation to all other art forms, it can be fun! Take a walk down to Artists’ Point with Andy and explore the terrain through a series of loose drawing techniques. Through fun prompts and simple exercises students will loosen up and leave their inhibitions about what a drawing is, or should be, behind. By the end, students will have a greater knowledge of what drawing can be and how it can enrich our observations of the world.
October 16 – Textile Printing
