The Writing Room is available for exclusive residencies and is a small, 10 x 12 foot office space in Studio 21. Note there is no water source in this studio but it is adjacent to the kitchen and bathroom.

Independent, exclusive-use residency rates, based on a 5-7 day week:
- 1 week | $125
- 2 weeks | $225
- 3 weeks | $300
- 4 weeks | $400
- One-time $50 cleaning fee for 1 – 2 week residencies and one-time $100 cleaning fee for 3 – 4 week residencies
- Cook County resident artists receive a 10% discount
