Tools, Marks, and Metaphors (Ages 14+)

If you are looking for a way to get into drawing and have a curiosity about collage, this class is a great fit for you. Learn to really see what you draw, and draw what you see. Students will go back to the basics by first creating mark-making tools. After tools are made and students have experimented with a variety of marks using black ink, Marty will teach the basics of transforming the materials into collages. The second day will be spent outdoors drawing from the landscape and students will mix work from day one with direct drawing to finalize their work.
