Nature’s Palette (Ages 9 – 12)
You are, of course, familiar with paint that comes from a tube. How about paint that comes from willow, walnuts, and berries? Samantha will teach students to use locally-sourced media that have been gathered directly from the landscape. Along with the added connection and satisfaction of gathering your own media, this process also helps to nurture a greater understanding and appreciation for local flora and other organisms. Using wood, flowers, berries, leaves, and beeswax, students will create basic tools to build a palette from nature and make one unique artwork from the materials.
Registration for this class remains open until April 7, 2019. Please register before this date.
