Arts learners are central to who we are. To help celebrate our anniversary, we will host a curated juried alumni exhibition starting during the Fall Studio Tour through October 22. We will host a combined Opening Reception for Muse and the Fall Studio Tour on September 23rd.
While there are innumerable alumni who have contributed to our legacy over the past 75 years, this exhibition centers on students who participated in 5 or more years of our Mentor Series over the past 15 years. Invitations to apply for this juried exhibition were sent to eligible Mentor Series alumni in February. Applications closed on April 25 and the jury’s selected artists were notified in May.
Selected Artists: Janice Andrews, Lynn Brown, Karen Caldwell, Chris Cinque, Rita Beyer Corrigan, Kat Corrigan, Karina Cutler-Lake, Kris Musto, Pat Owen, Sandi Pillsbury, Ann Price, Liz Seaton, Peter Truran
What is a Zine?
A zine (pronounced “zeen”) is a self-published book usually made in small batches.
Why Zines to Celebrate our 75th?
You are the core of our work, and we want you well represented in our celebrations. Zines are great tools for free speech, and anyone can make them no matter their age, artistic ability, or location. This project invites you to express yourself with few boundaries. We hope you feel inspired to create something cool in the spirit of artistic freedom and another 75 years of the Art Colony.
Suggested Donation: $10
